During October 2012, Ohio will be celebrating Manufacturing Month!
The State of Ohio has declared October Manufacturing Month. Ohio, along with CIFT, the Columbus region (with the help of Columbus 2020), Dayton Region Manufacturers Association (DRMA), MAGNET, OH! Manufacturing, and TechSolve are organizing events across the State of Ohio to bring the career potential of manufacturing to middle and high school students. What do we need to make this day a success?
- Manufacturers to provide tours for small groups of interested students
- Sponsors to help pay the cost to transport students
- Technical schools to provide tours and information
- Legislative support to help promote the importance of this effort
- Guidance counselors and school administrators to promote this important event both to the students and their parents
